What you can do to help former ITT Tech students

Written by ProTrain | Apr 13, 2016 2:01:49 PM

By now you have heard about the closing of ITT Technical Institute's campuses nationwide. The shutdown has left roughly 35,000 students and 8,000 employees in the lurch. Reports of frustration and fury are rampant.

But there are some things your program can do to help former students and employees   - and ProTrain would like to be of assistance.

First, if you're in need of instructors, now is the time to recruit them.

Second, for former ITT Tech students who want to continue their job training, many of the online courses offered through ProTrain can help students finish the training and obtain the credentials to obtain the jobs they were preparing for. We have taken the time to outline which ProTrain courses align with former ITT Tech courses.  Click here to see the list.

Third, our Training Assessment Managers can work with former ITT Tech students to assist them in finding the appropriate course to meet their career goals. They simply need to contact Training Assessment Manager Cristy Urbina at curbina@protrainedu.org or 844-292-8641.

Lastly, ProTrain has put together this information kit to assist you in sharing information with former ITT Tech students.  In it is an email that can be shared with your database - or with inquiries - social media posts you can share in the virtual space, and a press release that can be tailored to send to your local media.
