Finding meaning or purpose in your chosen career path is key to loving your job. Set goals for yourself, continue to learn and create a healthy work/life balance to enhance your career opportunities.

What is your PASSION?

The first step to loving your career is finding a job that evokes passion. What do you love to do? What do you do in your free time? Can your passion be turned into a career? Choose to believe that you CAN do what you love within your job. The reality is that you can do whatever you want to do and set your mind to.

Set GOALS

Once you have found your passion, define your career goals and devise a strategy to achieve them. By breaking long term goals down into shorter goals, you will feel a sense of accomplishment as you reach each individual goal. Reward yourself when you complete a new goal.

Continue to LEARN

Take inventory of the areas of your job that are the most difficult. These are the areas where you should focus on improving and growing. Learning equals improvement. Continuing education courses teach valuable skills to enhance your career, making you more employable and increasing your chances of monetary and company advancements.

Create Work/Life BALANCE

Time management is the top way to create a healthy work/life balance. Creating to-do lists to help keep your job tasks on track is a good way to begin on the right path to time management. Completing tasks from a to-do list can make you feel accomplished. This can lead to a happier work life.  Then, once you leave work for the day or weekend or on vacation, leave work behind.  Focus on yourself and what is important to help you grow personally.
